Rules
Here is the complete list of rules for Shit Boots.
- Cards
- 2's, 8's and Joker's are wild.
- A two can be played on any card and any card can be played on the two.
- An 8 "kills" the discard deck. All cards previously discarded are no longer in play.
- A Joker is the same as a 2, with the exception that it reverses the direction of gameplay. With this two player version, the player takes another turn.
- Aces are high.
- 4 of the same card played in a row kills the discard deck. This can be over multiple turns, but whichever players plays the 4th card of the same number, clears the discard deck and gets another turn.
- At the beginning of each turn, the player must play cards of equal or greater value to the topmost card discarded on the previous turn. The player may play as many cards of the same number in one turn.
- A wild card may be played on any card, even an Ace, as described above.
- If the player cannot make a play, the player must draw all cards which are discarded, but are still in play. To do this, simply double-click on the overturned card and the cards will be placed in the player's hand.
- Each player must maintain at least 3 cards in hand at all times during gameplay, unless the deck is empty. If two cards are played in one turn, the player must draw two cards from the deck.
- Once the deck is empty and the player has no cards in hand, the player may play one or more cards of the same number, from the face-up cards chosen at the beginning of the game.
- If the player cannot make a play during this part of the game, cards must be drawn from the discard deck as well. Then, all cards must be played from the hand before using the "boots" again.
- Once the player has used the face-up cards, the player picks one overturned card at random to use in play. If that card is insufficient, the player draws all discarded cards and must play all those cards before continuing play with the overturned cards again.
- The first player to discard all cards wins!
